The historic center of Puerto de la Cruz, declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1985, combines the historical richness and all the flavor of what was, until the 18th century, the port of the Villa de La Orotava. One of the main tourist centers of the island since the 19th century, when it was one of the pioneer tourist destinations in Spain and Europe. History and modernity merge in a municipality of seafaring traditions.
